3. What is an Internet Services Provider?

An Internet Services Provider (ISP) is your gateway to the Internet. If, as a business, you need a presence on the Internet via a web-site, or offer merchandise to Internet users, or you need to stay in touch with clients and vendors, or you need to offer degree-level distant learning Undergraduate and Graduate courses at your College or University, you need an ISP that provides you access to the Internet Users throughout the world.

Our customers include businesses such as small agencies, lawyers, accountants, manufacturers, and medium-sized busineses with multiple locations. The higher-learning educational institutions include smaller state-level colleges, as well as national and International Universities.

6. What kinds of services to you provide?

CNG offers a full range of ISP services including the following:
  • Website hosting that comes in three service levels:
    • Shared Server Website Hosting, allowing the cost of server hardware and system software to be shared by a number of users on the same server
    • Dedicated Server Website Hosting, where a business has exclusive use of one CNG’s servers for its Internet materials.
    • Colocation Services, where a business places its own server on CNG’s premises for CNG to monitor and manage.
  • University hosting for distance learning.
  • Business-level e-Mail services, advanced e-Mail services directed at those that fall under Government rules such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPA, Title 13, etc..
  • Business-level, and Enterprise-level collaboration services.
    • Business-level collaboration allows different groups, such as vendors, consultants and or key-clients to communicate with each other with the proper permissions and authorizations in a secure environment.
    • Enterprise-level collaboration includes all collaboration processes at the business-level, but also introduces a way to manage the communication, with a process called Workflow Process

13. If I sign with you, how long will it take to get my Web site up and running?

How long it takes to have your Web site up and running depends on a number of factors such as the kind of service you want, whether your Website software is complete and error-free and a few other factors. Generally CNG customers are up and running on their Websites within a few days of receiving the signed contract and deposit. Of course, if you need a faster response, CNG is willing to discuss that with you and see if we can meet your needs.
