POP3 Emails are the e-mail addresses that are part of your domain hosting. Certain levels of accounts have a pre-set number of free e-mail accounts. Additional e-mail accounts can be added (for a small fee). POP3 accounts can be managed via CNG's CCP (CNG's Customer Control Panel).

Alias e-mail accounts are virtual accounts, i.e. the alias e-mail account is "forwarded" to a real e-mail account. You could have an e-mail account like "webmaster@yourdomain.com" and have the mail "forwarded to "myname@yourdomain.com ". You may use CCP (CNG's Customer Control Panel) to manage alias e-mail accounts.

Autoresponders are e-mail responses sent out automatically. As an example, you have an e-mail account , with autoresponse set ON. You could now have a text-message sent automatically every time someone sends an e-mail to (the text-message could be "Thanks for your order. Someone will call with a confirmation shortly."

A mailbox and an alias are the same as far as the "sender" of an e-mail is concerned. The difference is at the receiving (your) end. Every mailbox can have many aliases; and all mail for these aliases will ultimately wind up in the same mailbox. That means that the configuration for a mailbox will affect all aliases tied to this main-box (for instance, the autoresponder for all aliases tied to a mailbox will react the same)..
You need two or more mailboxes if you want to configure different mailboxes. (for instance, your "out-of-office" message should be send to some, but not all mail-senders).

The standard way to read mail and compose an e-mail is via a mail-reader (i.e. Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express)
These readers have to be "installed" on your system (office / home), and have unique settings.

Web-based mail readers let you get to your e-mail from any place that hase access to the Internet.
CNG Internet offers for free a Web-based e-mail reader that has any and all common features found in the more traditional mail-readers.
